Airlie Police College Tennis Court, South Yarra, to be Developed into Apartments

Melbourne City Council approved plans for the Neometro-proposed development last month.

The approval will see Airlie Bank Lane, a small street off Walsh Street, become the entrance to a new apartment project which will be called Airlie Bank.

The adjoining Airlie Police College property is still owned by the force, which uses it as a Leadership Centre. The police sold the northwest portion of its College to developers many years ago.

A spokeswoman said the Centre had no intention of leaving its heritage protected Domain Road home, adding that a major refurbishment is currently underway, which will see the development of more training areas.
