Publicans trade west Sydney hotel
Vikki Webster has sold the family’s Richard’s on the Park, at Canley Vale.
Lewis Hotels, led by John Lewis, is the buyer, for $64 million.
On 4389 square metres at 41 Canley Vale Road, part of a retail strip near the suburb’s train station, 30 kilometres west of Sydney, it includes a bar, bistro and gaming room with TAB and 30 electronic gambling machine entitlements.
There is also first floor guest accommodation.
Ms Webster’s brother, Phil Webster, who died last year, operated the asset four decades.
With the disposal, the family it is out of the industry.
JLL’s John Musca and Ben McDonald were the agents.
LHG’s portfolio includes the Canley Hotel at Canley Heights, Crocodile Farm (Ashfield), Croydon Park Hotel (Croydon Park), Kings Tavern (Potts Point), Beverley Hills Tavern (Beverley Hills), and Quakers Inn at Quakers Hill.
The Ramada Hotel and Suites Cabramatta also forms part of its book.
