Waterless Urinals at QV Contribute to 14% Drop in Consumption

More than 100 urinals were upgraded – 67 in the BHP Billiton building, 24 in the Sensis building and 18 in the public toilet area – resulting in a 13,115-kilolitre reduction in water consumption in the year to the end of August. At the current tariff, this is a saving of about $25,600.

QV group operational services manager Ken Donnell said: "With more than 3700 people working in QV, we decided to try and save water not only to help the environment but also to save money."
