Vinnies pre-commits to Brisbane homemaker centre

Last week, we reported POD sold Richlands Marketplace.

POD Developments has pre-committed 85 per cent of a homemaker centre ahead of its completion this month.

The Vinnies tenancy (shaded) spans six shop fronts.

Vinnies is the latest to sign up, amalgamating six tenancies at 215 Government Road, Richlands (pictured, top), for an initial seven years.

The not-for-profit will join Autobarn, Auto Masters, Awning Security, Banjo’s Bakery, Franklyn Blinds, Petbarn and Supercheap Auto; branded Richlands Home & Life, the asset will contain 5600 square metres and 170 car parks.

A Caltex service station is already open.

Two spaces remain – of 204 sqm and 545 sqm. Colliers’ Sam Quintner and Lachie Waycott are the agents.

POD strikes another Richlands deal

Richlands Home & Life, on four hectares, will eventually accommodate over 16,000 sqm of large format retail, bulky goods and showroom space, according to the Toowong based group (story continues below).

Another c330 car parks are also planned.

The deal comes a week since we reported the developer sold a neighbouring, convenience retail investment, Richlands Marketplace, for $17.25m – a 6.25 per cent yield.

Completed 18 months ago, that asset contains 1679 sqm, with a KFC, car wash and eight specialty stores.

Richlands is about 19 kilometres south west of Brisbane’s CBD.
