Vietnamese syndicate snaps up Blue Mountains resort

Eagle View Escape includes 25 guest suites.

Blue Mountains retreat Eagle View Escape has sold for a speculated $6.9 million to Vietnam-backed syndicate AALM Partners.

The 47.7 hectare asset at 421 Sandalls Drive, Rydal, was offered after 15 years by former operators Mark and Robyn Lindsay.

Now under management, it contains 25 suites, a manager’s cottage and administration building.

“We worked with a number of groups throughout this campaign and feel confident AALM Partners enjoy both the vision and capacity to expand upon Eagle View Escape’s already highly regarded offering,” HTL Property’s Nic Simarro said.

“The unmatched level of demand for regional accommodation was patently clear throughout this sale process,” colleague Andrew Jackson added (story continues below).

“The final weeks of the campaign were particularly competitive”.

Overlooking Lake Lyell, the asset was marketed for its potential to be repurposed.

Three suitors were shortlisted.
