Victor Churchill to bring luxury steakhouse to Crown
Victor Churchill – described by late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain as “the most beautiful butcher shop in the world” – will open its first restaurant, a high-end steakhouse, at Crown Melbourne.

The level three tenancy, overlooking the Yarra River, is expected to be trading from mid next year.
Run by Anthony Puharich, whose family established the business at Sydney’s Woollahra in 1876, the deal is understood to have been negotiated direct with Crown Resorts management.
It comes four years since Victor Churchill opened its maiden Melbourne store – with a butcher, restaurant and bar – in High Street, Armadale.
Crown locks in another luxe restaurant
Crown, which Blackstone bought from James Packer in 2022, is repositioning the upper level of the Melbourne entertainment complex (continues below).

The Victor Churchill tenancy, to be accessed via a Crown Towers entrance, will be designed with a 120-seat dining room and large bar.
Chef Monty Koludrovic, an ex-Icebergs executive who has collaborated with Mr Puharich, will run the kitchen – returning from the United States after six years where he worked in private members’ clubs and high-end restaurants.
Nobu and Rockpool – other uber exclusive restaurants based at Crown Melbourne – will retain their ground floor spaces.
The lease commitment comes two months since we reported Blackstone sold the Capital Golf Club to Lindsay Fox.
