V/Line leases another west Melbourne warehouse for depot

V/Line has leased part of 5A Westwood Drive, Ravenhall, as a depot for both metropolitan and regional rail projects.

V/Line has signed another industrial lease deal in Melbourne’s west, this time in Ravenhall.

The 2500 square metre facility with a warehouse and double storey office will accommodate staff working on two projects including the Regional Rail Revival.

CBRE’s Tom Murphy, Ricardo Cappelletti and Fergus Pragnell marketed 5A Westwood Drive.

The property is the second in the area V/Line has rented to use as a depot in as many years, Mr Pragnell added.

“Ravenhall in its infancy was only known for its prisons, however it is now an established industrial location thanks to subdivisions by MAB Corporation, Pellicano and CIMIC Group Limited” (story continues below).

Last year, Pelligra Group spent $25.3 million on a 20.8 hectare development site in the suburb.

Dexus also owns significant tracts in the pocket – 10 months ago pre-committing Scalzo Foods to a 35,300 sqm facility within its 127ha Horizon 3023 estate.

Ravenhall is about 21 kilometres from the city.

The Ravenhall factory is the second V/Line has rented in as many years in Melbourne’s west.
The Ravenhall facility contains a warehouse and double storey office.
