Tilley & Wills add Hawkesbury pub to portfolio

Tilley & Wills entered the Brisbane market last year, paying over $20 million for The Elephant Hotel.

Simon Tilley and Nick Wills are speculated to be paying $12 million for the Richmond Inn Hotel, in Sydney’s outer north west.

On 2996 square metres at 90 March Street, Richmond, the property comes with a 3am liquor licence and 17 electronic gambling machine entitlements.

It is across the road from ISPT’s Richmond Marketplace, which contains 800 car parks.

HTL Property’s Dan Dragicevich and Sam Handy were the agents.

Elsewhere in Sydney, the Tilley & Wills hospitality group holds Mosman’s Buena Bistro, the Balmain Hotel, Clovelly Hotel, Oxford Art Gallery (Darlinghurst), Greenwood Hotel (North Sydney) and, in the CBD, the Verandah Bar (story continues below)).

Early last year, the pair entered the Brisbane market – paying over $20m for Fortitude Valley’s The Elephant Hotel.

“I love the Hawkesbury area, and have been keeping my eye out for the right opportunity for a number of years now,” Mr Wills said of the Richmond acquisition.

“We’ll look to put our spin on what we think is the best positioned pub in the area,” he added.
