Tiffany & Co opens first Australian pop-up store, at Emporium Melbourne

High end accessory retailer Tiffany & Co has opened its first Australian pop-up store, in Melbourne.

The 85 square metre space, within the Emporium Melbourne complex at 287 Lonsdale Street in the city, includes a Makeit#MyTiffany “personalisation styling bar” and a Tiffany Fragrance vending machine.

The New York based retailer has signed a six-month lease agreement for the Emporium space.

Tiffany & Co Australia vice president and managing director Glen Schlehuber said the outlet will showcase “an innovative and distinctive retail experience that encourages interaction and self-expression”.

The store (pictured, top, right and bottom) will be fitted out uniquely to its other stores – but maintain the brand’s trademark Tiffany Blue throughout.

“The product assortment will highlight Tiffany’s vast personalisation and customisation capabilities with individual engraving and embossing offered on site,” the company said in a statement. “Clients will have the opportunity to have personal sketches engraved onto an assortment of products”.

Collections on display will include: Tiffany L, Tiffany Tags, Return to Tiffany and Home & Accessories.

The Emporium Melbourne store will also exclusively feature tourist-friendly Tiffany products with expressions connected to Australia – including “Aussie” and “G’day”

Elsewhere in the Melbourne CBD, Tiffany & Co trades from a former Bank of Melbourne occupied premises at 267 Collins Street rising three levels and containing about 1250 square metres of area – the top floor configured as offices.

The Collins Street store includes an imposing staircase and chandelier with 500 hand-blown glass pieces, designed by local artist Dean Smith.

Tiffany & Co also trades from outlets at Chadstone Shopping Centre and Melbourne Airport.

The retailer opened its first Melbourne outlet in 1996 at Crown Casino.
