Guildford Bell Designed Mansion Hits the Market in Portsea

A SPECTACULARLY located, waterfront house, designed by the same architect that penned James and Erica Packer’s luxury home, in Sydney, has hit the market.

The Guildford Bell designed double-storey home, at 3840 Point Nepean Road, in Portsea, is expected to fetch about $6 million when it is auctioned at midday, on Sunday February 13.

Set on almost half an acre, and with its own beach walkway, the four bedroom house includes a four car garage, a private walled courtyard, and a petanque court. Kay & Burton Portsea’s Liz Jensen is the marketing agent.

Slice of Victorian History For Sale in Sorrento

A SUBDIVIDED piece of Victorian history has quietly hit the market, in Sorrento.

Richard Shelmerdine, a member of the Myer dynasty, is selling the 1915 square metre development site – until now part of the much larger historic property known as The Sisters, and within the precinct of Victoria’s first European settlement.

In early 2008, the Shelmerdine’s paid $18.4 million cash for the exclusive 1.2 hectare site, which has been in private hands since 1890, and was last owned by eccentric millionaire Peter Rand.
