Sydney shopping centre sold out of receivership

The property is permit-ready for a 43-place childcare centre extension.

A neighbourhood shopping centre permit-ready for an extension in Sydney’s south west growth corridor has traded out of receivership for $10.85 million.

Newbrook Shopping Village at Airds contains 2837 square metres anchored to Chemist Warehouse, Friendly Grocer and Plus Fitness.

Australia Post occupies one of the 13 specialties. Seven however are vacant. There is also an ATM and food court.

The site spans 1.56 hectares with 112 car parks.

Development upside

At 44 Riverside Drive, Newbrook Shopping Village sits on an E1 Local Centre zoned site offered permit-ready for an extension with a 43-place childcare complex (continues below).

Chemist Warehouse is an anchor at the Airds complex.

Also within the Airds Town Centre precinct, concept plans exist for a 3230 sqm supermarket.

Bradfield International Real Estate’s Thomas Mosca and Nick Estephen with Stonebridge’s Lincoln Blackledge and Alexander James-Elliott represented the vendor, receivers Justin Walsh and Andrew Hanson of EY-Parthenon.

The asset settled to Newbrook SC Pty Ltd in December after being listed in June.

Airds is about two kilometres from Campbelltown.
