Sydney apartment of late actress Cornelia Frances sells

The son of late actress Cornelia Frances has sold her home in Sydney’s Neutral Bay.

The apartment at 50 Aubin Street traded for $1.075 million at auction on Saturday. Online advertisements for the property, which are still active, attach a price guide of $1 million for the home.

Ms Frances (pictured in 2011, top) paid $335,000 for the dwelling in 1999 with her then-husband, Michael Eastland.

According to realestate.com.au, which is reporting the sale result, two interested parties registered for the home in the L’Hirondelle complex, but only one bid.

Agents Janet Morrison and Jon Snead of The Agency represented Ms Frances’ son, Lawrence Eastland.

In styling the home ahead of its sale, Mr Eastland hung a portrait of the actress in the living room (pictured, top left).

Ms Frances, who appeared in television shows Prisoner, Sons and Daughters, The Young Doctors, Kingswood Country and Home and Away, and hosted game show The Weakest Link, died in May, aged 77, after being diagnosed last year with bladder cancer which spread to her hip.
