Suncorp Close to Selling Wedding Cake Building, Brisbane, For $65 Million

Abacus Property Group was amongst the under bidders to buy the asset, according to The Australian, which reported the tansaction.

Abacus is reportedly purchasing 309 George Street in Sydney. Near the Wynyard train station this 1965 building was refurbished in 2005. It’s fully leased with major tenants including Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Credit Union of Australia. Abacus also recently paid $153 million, with the Kirsh Group, for two more offices in that city: 4 & 14 Martin Place.
