Singapore developer sells boarding house

Singapore’s Unitas Premier has sold The Barker Residence student apartment complex (pictured, top), opposite the University of Sydney’s main campus.

Also known as Studio 66, 66-68 Barker Street, Kingsford, traded to a local family office for $18 million – a 5.44 per cent yield.

Fully occupied by UNSW students since completion nine years ago, there are 40 studios, nine car parks and eight bike bays.

The site spreads 886 square metres.

A Lane Cove North co-living investment is selling for $13.7 million.

Colliers’ Harry Builand and Andrew Bui were the agents.

The deal comes eight months since we reported UNSW bought the Jacaranda Hall student accommodation complex it rented in nearby Kensington.
