Rod Menzies sells Namarong for $9m

Investone managing director, wealth management author, Ian Murdoch, is the buyer of Armadale’s Namarong, in tree-lined Hampden Road.

The home was listed in April after vendor, Menzies Arts chairman Rod Menzies, purchased Stonington in Malvern for $18 million.

The outgoing home is believed to have sold for $9m.

Marshall White’s Sean Cussell brokered both deals (story continues below).

Mr Menzies couldn’t list in Armadale until a Stonington renovation was complete.

In 2006, Michael Wong paid $13.75m for a Flete St, Armadale, home, once occupied by the Yooralla Society of Victoria.

That deal remains the suburb’s priciest.
