Residential Developer Pays $2.3 Million For Northern Melbourne Site

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Matthieu Lucas and Dominic Gibson marketed the 166 Dalton Road site, on behalf of vendor SP AusNet.

Mr Lucas said interest was shown by a variety of developers with proposals for low density townhouse developments, through to medium density apartment complexes.

He added the site’s location, near the busy Lalor Plaza Shopping Centre, as well as the Residential 1 zoning, and Victoria’s continued population growth forecasts, contributed to strong developer interest.

Government incentives available to first home buyers at one end, and developers at the other (when they develop affordable and social housing) – is also driving interest in the residential development site sector.
