Receivers sell Wodonga housing estate site

About 39.9 hectares of the Leneva block is developable.

Receivers have sold a low density housing estate site nine kilometres south of Wodonga.

A 522-lot subdivision and school is planned for the site.

The 65 hectare parcel 92 Martins Road, Leneva, found favour with a Melbourne developer.

About 39.9ha is developable. In a PSP approved zone, a permit has been submitted for a 522-lot residential subdivision plus a super lot, land for a school and community facilities.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Cameron Zamora, Hamish Burgess and Leon Ma were the agents for receiver and manager, Grant Thornton Australia.

Regional growth area

The Leneva property previously sold in February, 2019, for $10.5m.

“Albury-Wodonga continues to attract investment, supported by population growth, connectivity, and a strong planning framework,” Mr Zamora said.

“This landholding represents a major opportunity in one of Victoria’s most active and strategically located regional growth areas,” according to the executive.

Mr Burgess added “with approximately 40 hectares of developable area, the scale and flexibility of this site will appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers – from residential developers to land lease and aged care operators”.
