Radio host lists Spanish Mission family home

The Riddell Parade home is expected to sell for over $3.3 million.

Radio and television personality Jo Stanley and her husband, film producer, Darren McFarlane, have listed their Elsternwick family home after 12 years and a renovation.

The Elsternwick dwelling includes two living zones and five bedrooms.

On 609 square metres at 34 Riddell Parade, walking distance to the suburb’s Glen Huntly Road shopping strip and train station, the five bedroom c1930 Spanish Mission carries $3.3-$3.6 million price hopes.

The pair paid $1.615m. The refurbishment included switching the kitchen and meal spaces.

Upstairs, a study and bedroom were razed to create a master bedroom ensuite – as big the size of the master suite.

A then third-lounge room on the ground floor replaced that bedroom.

A new study meanwhile was built into the upstairs landing

The home also includes two living areas, two outdoor entertainment zones and a shed (story continues below).

Jo Stanley and Darren McFarlane renovated the Spanish Mission home.

Biggin & Scott’s Daniel Ashton and Bill Stavrakis are taking it to auction on August 26.

The Riddell Parade home goes to auction later this month.

Ms Stanley co-hosted Fox FM’s breakfast show with Matt Tilley for a decade until 2013.

Nowadays, the entertainer co-hosts Channel Seven’s health and lifestyle show House of Wellness, which also has a weekend radio stint on 3AW.

The listing comes five years since ABC radio host Richelle Hunt sold a c1915 red brick terrace in nearby Balaclava for $1.225m – a rise on the $785,000 paid in 2011.
