Penthouse at Quay West, Southgate, on the Market

Kevin Nixon, father of television personality Livinia Nixon, is selling his 26th level apartment at Mirvac’s Quay West building, at 28 Southgate Avenue, 12 years after he queued up for four days to buy it.

The semi-circle Quay West building has uninterrupted, 270-degree views including a CBD backdrop that cannot be built out. The building is on the doorstep of a $129 Hamer Hall redevelopment – on Southbank Promenade, which Quay West also has an entrance at.

As well as views, Mr Nixon’s outgoing apartment includes 3 bedrooms, a balcony, and parking for three cars. Residents in the building have access to a gym, pool and Quay West Hotel services including room service.

Hocking Stuart Balwyn’s Paul Pfeiffer is marketing the penthouse for private sale, and expects it to fetch about $2.8 million.

In March, Livinia sold a three bedroom unit in Glenferrie Road Hawthorn for $830,000.
