Occupier to shift Brisbane HQ after $4.2m buy
Norhart Developments will shift headquarters from rented accommodation in the CBD to an owned suburban office.
The developer and asset manager forked out $4.15 million for the two storey building on 2722 square metre building at 24 Cansdale Street, Yeronga.
The off-market deal comes after the launch of a leasing campaign for the 853 sqm with 13 car parks.
“Norhart…initially intended to lease out the office space but, upon discovering its charm and potential, made the decision to relocate their operations from the Brisbane CBD,” Colliers’ Nick Evans, who marketed the Yeronga property with Corey Allerton, said.
Norhart will quit GPT’s Riverside Centre at 123 Eagle St.
Extension plan
Cansdale St was shed by Airvac HVAC, which built the office on land acquired for $300,000 in 1990, and occupied until recently; this pocket of Yeronga is about six kilometres south of town (story continues below).
“It has now been acquired by Norhart Developments, who plan to make the office their new headquarters while transforming the rear portion of the property,” Mr Allerton said.
“Their vision includes the construction of three bespoke industrial units, adding significant value and versatility to this prime inner south location, just 10 minutes drive from the CBD,” he added.
Mr Evans added “this is a great asset surrounded by excellent local amenities and businesses with easy access to major roads, ensuring smooth connectivity both north and south”.
The off-market deal comes a month since we reported Fletcher Building would relocate its headquarters within Melbourne’s south east.
