North Eastern Residential Aged Care Sells Heidelberg Development Site

The aged care service provider had planned to build an aged care facility on the 2,257 square metre site, however it has since turned its hand to larger scale projects, not possible at Heidelberg.

The new site owner, private developer Romano Group, plans to build a 5-level mixed use building on the high profile site, at the corner of Rosanna and Burgundy roads, and adjoining the Centro Warringal Shopping Centre.

The site is a short walk to the Austin, Mercy and Warringal hospitals as well as the Heidelberg train station – meaning it could include shops, offices and apartments.

Gross Waddell director Joseph Carbone said the location of the site in Heidelberg’s retail centre contributed to a strong land rate per square metre of $1,772.
