Noni Hazlehurst downsizes to Queensland waterfront
Noni Hazlehurst has downsized to a waterfront home on Macleay Island – south east of Brisbane.
The AFI and AACTA award winning actress and former Play School co-host paid $790,000 for the renovated three bedroom dwelling overlooking North Stradbroke Island.
The acquisition comes two months since the media personality offloaded an acre property at Tamborine Mountain, in the Gold Coast hinterland, for $1.4m.
Ms Hazlehurst paid $479,000 for that home, The Gables, at 194-198 Hartley Road, in 2002.
Prior to that, she owned a 39.5ac estate in New South Wales’ Blue Mountains, occupied until 1999 with former husband, Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt.
Footsteps to the sand
Accessible by ferry, Macleay Island is the second largest of four Moreton Bay Marine Park islands.
Ms Hazlehurst’s home, on 1927 sqm, or nearly half an acre, is split level, with a reverse living floorplan and games room (story continues below).
Each of the bedrooms has an ensuite.
There is also an outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue on a deck big enough for an eight seat dining table and casual living area.
The fully-fenced property abuts a conservation area which can’t be built on.
LJ Hooker marketing agents Robyn Jessop and Cassandra Houley promoted the holding’s potential to be utilised as a holiday home; it is footsteps from the sand, they said.
The deal was brokered on February 1.
