NAPCO to Sell Roxborough Downs Cattle Farm For $10 Million

NAPCO chief executive Nigel Alexander told the Australian Financial Review the company, whose made shareholder is the Foster family, put the Roxborough Downs Station on the market after it received approval to extend its Darling Downs operation by more than 30,000 sqare metres.

It is reported the 130-year old company owns about 170,000 cattle, and manages close to six million hectares of pastroral land.

The listing of NAPCO’s Roxborough Downs property comes a month after Macquarie Pastoral Company paid $169 million for two properties in Queensland’s Channel Country, totalling 1.1 million hectares.

Terra Firma, a British-based private company, also recently bought into the sector, paying $425 million for a 90 per cent stake in Consolidated Pastoral, a development company involving James Packer.
