Music Promoter Glenn Wheatley to Sell South Yarra Mansion

The former Masters Apprentices bass player, turned music industry executive, can expect to make around $8 million for the five-bedroom mansion.

Well placed industry sources say the home, on an oversized block of about 900 square metres, includes grand formal and informal living areas, a pool, summer pavilion and gymnasium.

It is also a short walk from the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Road shops.

Mr Wheatley, 60, was jailed for 15 months in July 2007, for failing to declare income from a John Farnham concert, and Kostya Tszyu boxing match he had promoted.

He was released last May, to serve out the last months of his sentence from home.

Mr Wheatley could not be contacted.
