More Than 10,000 White Collar Employees to Move to Docklands, Next 12 Months

He commended the work of the government’s planning agency, VicUrban, and encouraged the Melbourne City Council, which this week announced it would share Docklands planning decisions with VicUrban, “to provide positive and timely support for future development in this exciting new city precinct”.
 
VicUrban chief executive officer Pru Sanderson said almost all of Docklands 400,000 square metres of office space is leased.
 
“As the community consolidates, the focus is beginning to shift from the large-scale waterfront developments that were necessary to attract the initial investment and momentum, to creating vibrant, interesting experiences within the hinterland of Docklands, ensuring the whole place is one both the local community and Melburnians can enjoy.”
