Medical Group signs Vermont’s biggest industrial lease deal this year

CBRE said just two buildings of greater than 2000 sqm are available for lease in the City of Whitehorse, making it one of the state’s tightest held.

A medical group has leased a Vermont warehouse previously occupied by an UGG boot producer.

The 4254 square metre deal is the largest struck for an industrial property in the eastern Melbourne suburb this year, according to CBRE marketing agents Joe Brzezek and Sasan Misaghian.

There are only two other buildings with a gross lettable area of more than 2000 sqm available for lease in the City of Whitehorse, the brokers added, “making it one of the most tightly held municipalities in Victoria”.

Their deal for 632 Mitcham Road is for an initial three years.

The property spreads a 6749 sqm block with 66 car parks, less than two kilometres from Canterbury and Whitehorse roads, Eastlink and Mitcham train station (story continues below).

Vermont is about 20 kilometres from the city.

In January local developer and investor Brendan Sullivan spent $5.85m on 1-5, 187-201 Rooks Rd, on 3445 sqm, in the suburb.

TV show Neighbours’ Ramsay Street is located in the neighbouring Vermont South’s Pinoak Court.

Last year a house there sold for $1.41m – the first seven figure deal in the street.
