McConnell Dowell Leases More Office Space in Hawthorn

GormanKelly director Robert Kelly, who is leasing the property with Colliers, confirmed McConnell Dowell will now occupy 4460 square metres of the 13,000 square metre building, increasing from its initial 3000 square metre commitment, reported earlier this year. It has also agreed to lease naming rights for the building at the corner of Power Street.

McConnell Dowell will relocate from the Tally Ho Business Park in Burwood, once construction of Vantage is complete in May 2009. Chief financial officer Dale Morrison said Vantage was chosen because of its proximity to public transport, the freeway and retail centres.

First State Developments managing director Bruce Tilley, who is developing the site, said the deal was an affirmation of the decision to proceed with the largest speculative building in Melbourne’s suburban market.
