Martin Brower heads to Nexus

The Nexus industrial estate covers 177 hectares.

Illinois based restaurant logistics giant Martin Brower has leased a distribution centre at Salta Properties’ 177 hectare Nexus business park, in Dandenong South.

Also today, we are reporting Salta is planning apartments at Richmond’s Victoria Gardens.

The occupier, which counts McDonald’s as a client, has committed to a 10,742 square metre facility (pictured, top, mid construction) – about six per cent, or 666 sqm, which will be offices.

Cold storage elements will also be built into the warehouse.

Martin Brower, which will relocate from the neighbouring Dandenong, will join Belle Banne, Bunnings, Haloutte Australia, Highgrove Bathrooms, PAC Trading, Select Timber, Silk Logistics and Visy, amongst others, at Nexus.

Dandenong South is about 31 kilometres south east of Melbourne.

Growth plan

Martin Brower has committed to Nexus for an initial 15 years (story continues below).

“The agreement with Martin Brower reinforces the appeal of customised solutions that Salta Properties prides itself on at Nexus Industrial Estate,” Salta managing director, Sam Tarascio, said.

“This will be Salta’s first 5-star certified Green Star industrial development with considerable solar installation” the landlord added.

Martin Brower’s local managing director, Scott Hanigan, said the facility will allow it to both support its existing client base, and grow.

Completion is scheduled later this year.
