Mahil Group buys Royal Hotel Nundah

The hotel (outlined) occupies 2025 square metres.

Lotana Property Investment has sold the c1888 Royal Hotel Nundah to the Mahil Group.

Also recently trading as the Royal English Hotel, 1259 Sandgate Road collected $13,171,000.

Leased to Australian Venue Co, the result reflects a 5.26 per cent yield.

The occupier’s lease expires in 2028 with five 10 year options.

Family run Mahil holds other Brisbane commercial assets. It also invests on the Gold Coast.

Lotana holds Brisbane investments too including a Yarrabilba supermarket bought in 2019 from Coles for just over $19m.

Royal Hotel Nundah

On 2025 square metres with 87 metres frontage, at the corner of Station Street, the property until recently traded as the Royal English Hotel (continues below).

It contains a bar, bistro and gaming room with 34 electronic gambling machines.

There are also conference facilities.

The pub was developed in 1888.

AVC is responsible for all outgoings including council rates, water rates, insurance and land tax.

The rent is also reviewed annually.

Nundah is about 10 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD.
