Lutheran Homes buy first assets outside SA

The Lutheran Church of Australia’s Victorian division has sold two retirement living community and aged care homes to Adelaide based Lutheran Homes Group.

The not for profits negotiated the deals for Sunnyside Lutheran Retirement Village at Horsham (pictured, top) and Hamilton’s Eventide Lutheran & Homes Hamilton Village, off-market.

The portfolio includes 184 independent living units and 134 residential aged care beds.

LHG invests outside SA

The Horsham and Hamilton investments are LHG’s first outside South Australia.

Formed in 2022 with the merger of LHI Retirement Services and Fullarton Lutheran Homes, both sizeable Lutheran aged care providers, the operator now accommodates some 2000 residents in six sites.

It also employs about 1300 people, it said.

In the medium term, as well as boosting its portfolio, the group is planning a renovation of existing Adelaide assets – Glynde and Hope Valley.

Horsham is 300 kilometres north west of Melbourne.

Hamilton is 295 km west.
