Broadcaster offers landmark north west Melbourne site

Land around the Delahey radio mast is expected to make way for housing.

Broadcaster BAI Communications is offering one of north west Melbourne’s most prominent infill sites.

Surrounding a radio transmitter and office, the 46.1 hectare Delahey parcel, 250A Taylors Road, also bound by Kings and Sydenham roads, is for sale as a whole or a joint venture; it could accommodate a master-planned residential village with low and medium density housing.

Essential services, offices and retail could also be constructed on parts of it.

About 20 kilometres from town, Delahey, abutting Keilor Downs, Kings Park and Taylors Lakes, carries a median house price of $647,500, according to REA Group.

Four bedrooms average $750,000.

250A Taylors Road, Delahey

Agents have been expecting the listing of 250A Taylors Road, Delahey, for over five years (story continues below).

Its northern boundary is walking distance to the Watergardens shopping centre and train station.

The southern side is opposite Keilor Plains station.

About 25ha is developable, according to sources.

B&S Land’s Andrew Egan and Callum Williamson, who have the listing, declined to comment.
