Hitachi doubles down in south Perth

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia will expand its Western Australian operation, buying a 5.2 hectare block next to a $60 million manufacturing plant it opened in 2016.

Its existing base, #107, spreading 10.4ha, cost it $9.4m in mid-2013.

Improvements contains c8000 sqm including a parts warehouse. There is also significant hardstand.

Effective Property Solutions acted for Hitachi (story continues below).

The vendor was a syndicate including the Della Bona family, of WA Limestone fame.

The deal comes a year since Hitachi’s home appliance, power tool and construction machinery divisions leased a 5326 square metre office/warehouse in Sydney’s west Marsden Park, complementing properties occupied at Blacktown, Epping and Seven Hills.

Forrestdale is about 26 kilometres south of Perth’s CBD.
