Heavyweight asset managers seal Perth office, industrial lease deals
Brookfield Properties and Cbus have secured a tenant for a third of a new Perth CBD office, practical completion of which is scheduled this month.
INPEX Australia – the local arm of Japan’s biggest petroleum and exploration company – has signed up for 11,200 square metres at Nine The Esplanade for an initial 10 years.
With the deal, 73 per cent of the Premium grade building is filled; over 19 floors it contains 31,204 sqm of offices and 2379 sqm of retail.
Argonaut, EY, Little Creatures Brewery and Multiplex are amongst the other occupiers.
Co-work outfit Hub Australia occupies a 4600 sqm tenancy.
Nine The Esplanade is the pair’s second commercial building, part of the Elizabeth Quay precinct; Chevron anchors the other.

Barings fills spec warehouse
Meanwhile, Barings, the name for Altis Property Partners since late 2023, has secured Bluestar Global Logistics to an office/warehouse at Hazelmere (story continues below).
The 9050 square mere office/warehouse at 2/175 Bushmead Road was built speculatively last year.
It has committed “long term” according to Cushman & Wakefield’s Nick Goodridge, who brokered the deal with Andrew Fife and Ross Palframann and Colliers’ Hayden Dick, Benjamin Kepes and Sam Hammond, said.
The property is “one of the highest grade industrial facilities…developed in Western Australia,” he added.
Hazelmere is about 15 kilometres north east of Perth.
Also today we are reporting Melbourne developer Wolfdene has snared a major housing estate site at Wanneroo.
Covering nine hectares, it is earmarked for a 155-lot subdivision and 9000 sqm park.
