Government sells Sydney site

Transport for NSW has sold a development site in Sydney’s south.

The state government will bank $1.9 million following an in-room auction of 11-13 West Botany Street, Arncliffe, following a campaign targeting residential builders.

Spreading 664 square meters, zoned Mixed Use 1, 800 metres to Arncliffe train station, any project could contain retail.

It could also accommodate an office or, being the near Sydney Airport, a hotel.

Knight Frank’s Demi Carigliano and Jeff Moxham promoted a building height of 31m – so c10 floors assuming residential.

There were four registered bidders for the June 12 sale.

Arncliffe is about 11 kilometres from town.

The deal comes two months since we reported Transport NSW sold a five-lot amalgamation at Stanmore, still south west of Sydney, but by four kilometres.
