Goodman secures Australia Post to Port Air

In a major lease deal, Goodman has secured Australia Post to two warehouses at Botany’s Port Air Industrial Estate.

The government agency has signed up for 21,152 square metres for an initial 10 years.

The deal comes four days since the tenant announced it would relocate its Australian office headquarters to Melbourne’s Burnley, quitting the CBD.

Port Air Industrial Estate

Australia Post will rent units 1 and 2B at Port Air, in Hale St.

The space was advertised as pharmaceutical grade.

The estate contains an onsite building manager, CCTV, ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) sprinklers and truck parking.

Kingsford Smith Airport and the Port Botany Container terminal are in the immediate vicinity (story continues below).

JLL’s Murray Pettinger and Bella Cass were the agents.

Meanwhile in Sydney’s west, Goodman recently leased a 6047 sqm distribution centre at 11 Interchange Drive, Eastern Creek, to Alspec subsidiary Aluminium Facade Systems, for c$130 per sqm, per annum.

That tenant occupies a 10,000 sqm facility at nearby 3 Alspec Place, within the former Wonderland development.

Not far away, at 75 Owen St, Glendenning, Centuria Capital has snared the Australian arm of European sealant, construction foam and adhesive manufacturer, Soudal, to a 4670 sqm building.

That occupier is paying starting annual net rent of $135 per sqm.

The lease term is five years.
