Glen Waverley development site collects $11.5m

The site is permit-ready for 11 apartments and five townhouses.

A Glen Waverley development site which made headlines in 2015 when the vendor offloaded it after two months for a price reflecting a $20,000 daily gain – has traded again.

The block, 17 Marriott Parade, with neighbouring #15 has collected $11.5 million.

The 2210 square metre amalgamation was offered permit-ready for a four-level complex with 11 dwellings, five townhouses and a basement car park.

It is diagonally adjacent to an ibis hotel – which was listed for sale earlier this year by Kuwait sheikh Mubarak AM Al-Sabah.

The Glen shopping centre, which has in recent years had its airspace replaced with apartment towers, is also in the vicinity (story continues below).

Seventeen Marriott Pde previously exchanged for $4.715m – settling on 19 June, 2015.

At an auction two months later, it traded to an offshore developer for $6m, however when that deal didn’t proceed, the parties negotiated a compensation pay-out.

Harcourts – Judd White’s Nuria Jewell and Anita Meng negotiated the latest sale.
