Former school set for townhouses

The Keysborough site is earmarked for 42 townhouses.

A $60 million townhouse project is set to replace the former Keysborough Park Primary School.

The Woodlands Estate, as the community is being marketed, will contain 42 double storey homes on lots between 255-551 square metres.

Seventeen dwellings are being offered as part of the first stage – an entry level dwelling will cost $949,000.

Developer Aultun Group paid $12.65m for the 2.2 hectare block making way for the village, 21-23 Loxwood Avenue, Keysborough, in 2016.

Last January, a 1.25ha slice of Keysborough College’s Coomera Campus – in Springvale South – was offloaded by the Department of Treasury & Finance for $5.6m (story continues below).

The site abuts Keysborough Community Park.

That land was also targeted to townhouse builders.

Also early last year, residential developer Peet Limited paid $25m for a 4.05ha Keysborough farm (of which 3.64ha could be developed) at 182 Chapel Road.
