Former Petrol Station Earmarked For New North Fitzroy Library
Given Melbourne 2030 guidelines, the proposed site would suit a medium density apartment development with ground floor retail, and upper levels offering Edinburgh Gardens and CBD views.
Council has allocated $1.5 million to the library project in its 2009-2010 budget. The library would relocate from 240 St Georges Road, less than a hundred metres up the road from the proposed new library site, within the North Fitzroy shopping village.
