Former Pacific Brands Office to be Redeveloped Into George Apartments
George will include 88 apartments with 1-bedroom units starting at $320,000. Two bedroom apartments start at $585,000, while two-bedroom plus study apartments start at $740,000.
Mr Williams says apartments will include generous indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces and high quality fixtures and fittings. All apartments except the studios come with a car park.
Elsewhere in the area, the City Peugeot site at 690 Elizabeth Street recently sold to a high density apartment developer for $5.6 million, and is expected to be redeveloped next year.
Last April, affordable housing developer Yarra Community Housing paid $8.5 million for the Ridgeway Plumbing site at 660 – 670 Elizabeth Street, which it is developing into an 11-level, 160-unit social housing complex.
