Film Director Buys Luxury City Apartment

Dubbed within the industry as “the actor’s director”, Mr Schepisi is believed to have snapped up a sky rise, luxury apartment in the Eureka complex in Melbourne for a price believed to be around $4.1 million.

The new apartment will be an adjustment to Schepisi’s former home in the “Royal Botanic Garden” precinct of South Yarra. That property is believed to have sold off-market recently for around $12 million – setting a new record for the suburb. Kay & Burton is believed to be behind that sale. A spokeswoman for the agency declined to comment.

Schepisi’s film credits include Last Orders, Roxanne and Six Degrees of Separation. Another movie, Empire Falls, won him a Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
