Elinora Mansion, Wheelers Hill, on the Market Again

The dramatic, neo-classical mansion at 22 Coniston Drive, measures a whopping 155 square, and includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a library, billiard room, ballroom, pool, spa, tennis court, 10-car garage and entertainment terraces taking in sweeping views of the Dandenongs.

Elinora has appeared in television shows Neighbours, Halifax FP and Good Guys Bad Guys, usually as the home of a super wealthy character.

The home was built by a property developer in 1988 at a speculated cost of more than $10 million using many imported fixtures and fittings. However when the market dived in the early 1990s, the banks forced the sale.

Toorak-based doctor Thomas Beresford purchased the home in 1994, and lived in it until 2005. Elinora has changed hands several times since then. Its current vendors bought the home early last year as a renovation project.
