Dexus secures bedding group to new industrial park

Dexus is building a 54,600 square metre warehouse in two stages at Richlands.

Dexus has secured Bart Group’s James Lane & Sleeping Giant to rent a distribution centre at its Freeman Central industrial estate in Brisbane’s south.

The 9956 square metre space within a larger complex at 425-479 Freeman Road, Richlands, is due for completion next quarter.

Knight Frank’s David Knox and Lachlan Hately were the agents.

Freeman Central Industrial Estate

Dexus is developing Freeman Central on a 9.2 hectare site acquired in 2018.

Bart Group has committed to nearly a third of 30 per cent of the project’s first stage (a 34,400 sqm building).

A second development phase will extend the roofline by 20,600 sqm (story continues below).

Knight Frank has acted for James Lane & Sleeping Giant for three Brisbane expansions.

Mr Knox and Mr Hately are also representing Dexus, with CBRE’s Peter Turnbull and Mark Gilbride.

“The tenant was attracted to the high calibre of this ultra-prime industrial estate, particularly the high internal clearance and the 35m super awning,” Mr Knox said.

Richlands is about 20 kilometres from the CBD.

Dexus has another business park, Drive, in the suburb.
