Developer buys part-complete Perth project

The Como site includes slabs for 10 townhouses.

Griffin Group has swooped on a Como development site – part with foundations laid or 10 townhouses.

The 4252 square metre amalgamation of four sites – 33-35 Edgecumbe St and 124-126 Lockart, set it back $8.8 million.

Part of the block is expected to make way for apartments.

Griffin will also complete the townhouses on recently laid base slabs with plumbing infrastructure.

“The Como precinct has seen a huge surge in demand for units and townhouses given it is generally more affordable than nearby Applecross and western suburb residential product,” Knight Frank marketing agent, Tony Delich, said.

“Developers are keen to develop low rise four to six level buildings, as opposed to large-scale projects, which Como zoning allows, including townhouses of two to three levels,” he added.

Como is about six kilometres south of Perth’s CBD.
