Clariant to Sell Former Chadstone Headquarters
Chemical services group Clariant is close to selling its disused headquarters, abutting a bulky goods centre.
A spokesman for Clariant confirmed the office/warehouse at 675 Warrigal Road, also next to the Matthew Flinders Hotel, is surplus to needs following a downsize to Glen Waverley – 600 sqm at the Brandon Office Park.
Earlier this year, it applied for a permit to develop the outgoing site with a $20m bulky goods centre over a basement park.
The neighbouring retail complex contains a Harvey Norman and Officeworks.
It’s believed the Clariant site sale, to an as yet undisclosed developer, is dependent on the Monash City Council rezoning the land from Light Industrial use.
The Middle Road entrance of the Chadstone Shopping Centre is nearby.
Holmesglen train station and Institute of TAFE are close too.
