Chris and Lauren Tarrant flip another renovated Toorak home
After six months, retired AFL sportsman Chris Tarrant and his wife, Lauren, an interior designer, have flipped another renovated Toorak home.
The property, 17 Glen Road, is the pair’s sixth refurbishment project.
It carried a price guide of $4.9-$5.2 million when it was listed.
The couple paid $3.665 million in May, 2018.
The former sportsman worked on construction jobs with builders while his wife, a model and the owner of Lauren Tarrant Designs, recreated the interior.
With a lift, study, two ground floor living areas and three bedrooms, it sits on a 384 sqm block at the north west corner of Turnbull Avenue, near Kooyong train station.
Briefly, the vendors lived there while their nearby Toorak family home was completed.
Tarrant track record renovating multi-million dollar homes
The Tarrants have sold several renovated homes in other Melbourne blue-ribbon suburbs including South Yarra.
In 2014, they paid veteran newsreader Jennifer Keyte $5.3 million for a 1990s Wayne Gillespie house, also in Toorak.
A corner portion of this site was subsequently subdivided and sold while the three bedroom residence, still on close to 1000 sqm of land, was renovated and offloaded for $7.9 million in 2018.
Three years ago the Tarrants sold a red brick Edwardian in Armadale for $4.1 million to Adam Gandel, the grandson of businessman and Chadstone Shopping Centre co-owner, John Gandel.
This four bedroom dwelling cost $2.1 million a year earlier.
In 2010, the pair offered another Armadale home, in tree-lined Armadale Street, for c$4 million.
Derrimut born Chris played for both Collingwood and Fremantle, retiring in 2012.
