Charter Hall, Fife land industrial pre-commitments
Charter Hall has pre-committed Amazon to a multi-level automated distribution centre at the Flagstone Logistics Estate in North Maclean.
As we mooted last month, the 150,000 square metre, four-level complex will serve as the group’s main Brisbane hub when it opens in 2028.
The retailer will join Bunnings and DATS at the estate.
About 30 hectares of the 118 ha business park near the Mount Lindesay Highway is now filled.
Charter Hall said Amazon’s decision underscores the estate’s appeal for large-scale distribution operations in south east Queensland.
Amazon Robotics Sortable Centre
The Amazon Robotics Sortable Centre will process an estimated 125 million packages annually and store around 15m smaller items, supporting both customer orders and local sellers.
The end value is estimated to be $750 million.
“The strength of this tenant covenant underscores the estate’s strategic location and capability to accommodate large-scale, multi-level industrial facilities,” Charter Hall Industrial & Logistics chief executive officer, Richard Stacker, said.
“The Amazon pre commitment reflects strong demand for modern industrial space and positions Flagstone as a key national logistics precinct,” he added (continues below).
Fife fills more of Catalpa estate
Meanwhile Fife Capital has pre-committed GPC Asia Pacific to an industrial estate at Doobarda, formerly part of Forrestdale.
The car parts giant will occupy a 27,000 square metre automated distribution centre within the Catalpa Business Park at the corner of Tonkin Highway and Rowley Road.
The tenant was represented by TMX Connect.
Spanning 102ha, lots at the estate are being marketed for sale or lease.
Doobarda is about 25 kilometres south east of Perth’s CBD.
GPC Asia Pacific, part of U.S.-based GPC headquartered in Atlanta, is based in Melbourne.
