Century Old Abbotsford School Set to Become Apartments

With Abbotsford on the radar of government planners for high density development, sources are expecting the site could make way for a apartment compound with an end value of $100 million, or more, but this could not be confirmed with Knight Frank selling agents Ken Smirk and Paul Henley.

Earlier this year, and against fierce objection, former Victorian Planning Minister Justin Madden approved two controversial Abbotsford projects which are expected to add more than 1000 apartments in several skyscrapers, one soaring 11 levels – substantially higher than residential projects commonly allowed in the suburb until the Brumby government took office.
