Cathy Freeman May Come Home to Brighton
Sources say the recently engaged sportswoman, turned author and documentary host has packed up from the coastal township of Ocean Grove about 90 minutes south-west of Melbourne where she has lived for the past year, and will return to the big smoke, closer to many of her work commitments.
It is expected Cathy, who prefers to go by the classier name of Catherine these days, will set up house in the French provincial style Roslyn Street home she bought for $2.2 million in September 2006, after selling the Kew riverside home she had lived in since 1998.
While living in Brighton will be a new experience for Catherine, it won’t be for Brightonian fiancé and fund manager James Murch, who was educated at the prestigious Brighton Grammar School, about a five minute sprint away.
