Cabrini arm consolidates Melbourne accommodation

Pellicano developed 930-940 Taylors Road in 2017.

Cabrini Healthcare, which has a significant technology arm behind several brands, will consolidate its Assistive Living Technologies & Equipment Resources division – or Alter – to Dandenong South.

Amazon chose M2 Industry Park for its first Australian distribution centre.

The not for profit has chosen a 6651 square metre office/warehouse at 930-940 Taylors Road, within the M2 Industry Park, also home to Amazon’s first Australian distribution centre.

Pellicano is the landlord; it also built the asset speculatively six years ago.

Alter, set to move in on December 4, will replace a logistics company which operates elsewhere in the suburb.

CBRE’s Sasan Misaghian and David Aiello with JLL were the agents.

930-940 Taylors Road

Cabrini Technology operates from some 18 Australian addresses and four in New Zealand.

Alter has shut two Mount Waverley showrooms ahead of its move to Dandenong South: unit 97, 45 Gilby Rd and 405-409 Ferntree Gully Rd (story continues below).

The incoming property – covering 1.34 hectares – contains a 6062 sqm shed with nine metre clearance and two recessed loading docks, two floors of offices, undercover parking and hardstand.

The lease deal comes three years since Cabrini Health relocated its office headquarters within Hawthorn East paying what was believed at the time to be the suburb’s highest rent – over $450 per sqm, per annum, net – for a 2000 sqm tenancy at 141 Camberwell Rd, near Camberwell Junction.

Dandenong South is about 31 kilometres south east of Melbourne’s CBD.

ESR kicks off Green Link

Meanwhile in nearby Cranbourne West this week, ESR turned the sod, to mark the start of construction, of its $750m Green Link business park, following a 10 year pre-commitment by freight company PFM for 15,400 sqm.

The tenant is believed will pay starting annual rent circling $2.3m for the space which aims to be delivered in 10 months.

ESR paid over $75m for the 78.8ha parcel making way for the business park in 2020.
