Charles Lloyd Group has quietly bought a development site in Ringwood’s small industrial precinct, which runs beside Eastlink and includes the landmark Cadbury, or Mondelez, factory.

The Cadbury factory on Canterbury Road spreads 9.75 hectares.

The long-time Statewide Geotechnical headquarters on 3884 square metres at 17-20 Summer Lane is set for 12 attached warehouse/offices (artist’s impression, top), divided by a lane containing 20 car parks.

Another 10 parking bays will front the court.

“This project represents another exciting milestone in the expansion of our commercial portfolio as we continue to deliver high-quality industrial and commercial opportunities across Melbourne,” a representative for the group said.

“The Ringwood industrial market continues to demonstrate remarkable strength with vacancy rates as low as one per cent – highlighting the demand for premium space in Melbourne’s east,” they added.

Charles Lloyd and Ark Capital’s proposal for 21-25 Vesper Drive, Narre Warren.

Ringwood is about 25 kilometres from town.

The deal comes five months since Charles Lloyd Group teamed with Ark Capital for the first time, for a 10-lot business park near the Monash Freeway and Princes Highway, in Narre Warren – about 30km south of Ringwood.
